Some brewers, aware that their product connotes conviviality and for the British conviviality equates to a certain coarseness, dredge their knowledge of the vernacular, which explains beers with names such as Ginger Tosser, Old Bustard, and Old Legover. The author of this last missing a trick, since Owd Legover would have suggested an athletically  vintage form of vulgarity....
